The Logan was driven from Delhi to Ahmedabad to gauge how she fared in the mileage context on one of the busiest highways in India.
To achieve the mega mileage record in real world conditions, the plan was to drive the Logan at a steady 80kmph over an extended distance. This would put the Logan in the same situation as any road-using car and gauge her efficiency far more accurately. Since the mission was to derive the best mileage, it was decided to drive without air conditioning and keeping the use of electronics to a minimum.
The Results:
981 Km – The distance that the Logan was driven between Delhi and Ahmedabad
32.31 litres – Total volume of fuel consumed.
22 hours 40 minutes – Roughly the time the car was run to cover the 981 kilometers.
30.36 kmpl - The fuel efficiency achieved by Logan 1.5dCi on NH8, the Delhi-Ahmedabad highway.
