I simply love the marketing strategy of this company. First they bait customers by advertising products at believable cheap prices. What amazon and ebay has given up, they quote you a tempting low price indeed. Not too low as to bring disbelief but just so low as to make one wonder, how do they make up for off the roof overheads. Simple, just con the customer.
Modus operandi goes something like this:-
Advertise wares so cheap that consumers will still believe that such a merchandise is for sale, when in reality there is no merchandise. For the sake of semblance, just ship a used sweaty bandana to someone who ordered a pair of pliers.
After customers pay, pretend like nothing happened. Just send an auto acknow email about order number and don't bother informing about shipping dates after that.
When customers call, concerned about their purchase just put them on hold, act busy and program the IVR to handle them with crrappy messages like " Please hold the line, all our customer execs are busy and will be with you shortly" When they do connect, ask an exec to put on hold while they ask about your order from a vacationing manager in Bermuda.
4, After customer calls in ten more occassions or after several facebook defensive posts and some dramatic apologies everywhere, refund to the customer, but making sure that enough interest has accrued to pay off the staff and the CA for the month end . else go back to step 3.
Totally ingenius isn;t it? And then we ask why foreignors are racist towards Indians, like nothing ever happenned.
Its a wonder that these Lehmann dropouts are still in business. Bleh
