I opened my saving account in ICICI Bank as I was looking for good and quick service as compared to government banks.I was aksed to deposite Rs.10000 in Metro as that was minimum balance threshold.I deposited Rs.10, 000 and got my account opened within 2-3 days.But after that, I was not using it for next 5-6 months, when I printed my passbook I was shocked as I was only having Rs.7400 only in my account, they debited Rs.2500+ in the name of different charges which they never disclosed at the time of opening account. I rushed to my Branch and asked out refund of my charges to relationship manager but he refused to do anything in that regard. Instead of this, he started explaining me Insurance and Mutual Fund Products, I had already closed my account after paying Rs.1800 as account closure fees and had opened my account with HDFC Bank.HDFC has given me PREFERRED customer category and they are offering best in class services like home cheque collection, free chequebook, unlimited ATM withdrawals and more. I would highly recommend HDFC Bank over ICICI.
