In 2020, I made several attempts to get through to their team and get the furniture picked up between April and June. I had requested to end the subscription in April(during the lockdown). Following this, whenever I would propose a date for pick-up, they would cite COVID as a reason. And I understood.


But during June, about 4 times, they called me at 10 am and gave me a 24-hour window for the pickup when I was in Kanpur while the rented furniture was in a property in Delhi.


I cited COVID, the distance, and my inability to make it in that short time for not being able to come as they had instructed at the last minute. And, almost every time, they claimed to understand(whoever was on the line). But the following week, I'd get the same calls, same emails, along with the same pattern – another agent with the same problem.


Finally, exasperated, during peak COVID in the month of June, I arranged to travel to Delhi on a pre-appointed date. Before which, dozens of emails were exchanged. Hundreds of calls were made. I spent so much time waiting on a call, explaining my reason for trying to schedule a proper date, giving them a detailed background of the situation, and basically, trying to arrange a pick-up. I kind of get a confirmation. I got it on call. The agent assured me he will get back in "2 minutes" with a confirmation. After waiting for several minutes, I went through the same process with the same outcome. "I will get back in two minutes with a confirmation". They never did.


On the day of travel, their team didn't respond on call or email. Heck, they did not show up!


Post which, they returned to their usual format of arranging pick-ups at random and telling me that the subscription period had not ended and it will only be considered done when the furniture is picked up.


Again, the same barrage of emails, calls, and requests.


I even explained how I had spent much more money on travelling between Kanpur and Delhi to get the furniture picked up. At this point, they would promise a resolution or say something about getting another pick-up scheduled, but … guys, it was the most unsystematic and unprofessional treatment I have ever received as a customer. Nothing positive came out of it.


They have unfairly billed me for 3 additional months post the failure on their part to pick up. They have not been bothered about my expenses of travel(which, btw, were triple the cost of their furniture rental), not once mentioned my refundable deposit(more than the monthly rental cost).


If this was not enough, when the day finally arrived for the final pick-up in August –yes, August, because the furniture had been held up in the landlord's flat since April, I had to shell out as much money for that period to my landlord as I technically still occupied his place.


Undue expenses aside, their team has been calling, texting, getting others to call(e.g., their agents/brokers) and been very rude, unprofessional, and is now harassing me every day.


I don’t lose my cool easily, but they have pushed a person beyond limits. I feel mentally harassed. It's not about the 7200 bucks I owe them. I am not asking for the~25k I wasted in handling their furniture in the last three months or for my deposit back because I had understood about the COVID situation and let the deposit pass, but it's about principles.


First, they would issue random dates. Then, on my inability to travel to Delhi during covid within 24-hours, they would pretend to understand. When, finally, I made an arrangement to visit and scheduled a pick-up, there was no response, no one arrived, nothing happened.


So, please, if you are from Furlenco, do something constructive. you can start by STOP calling me. Please close my case. PLEASE do not harass your customers unduly. Just because you have 500 customer care people, each of whom doesn't give a hoot about the other person and can continue calling throughout the day, doesn't mean you actually do it. I am tired of blocking numbers, of putting my phone on silent. I am exasperated. Please stop.


This is honestly the worst I have felt dealing with a company ever.


For 7200 bucks, Furlenco has ruined my peace of mind and is threatening me via various means all the time.


I have not been spared a day. I have not been compensated for my unfulfilled travel to Delhi or the additional expense I incurred on the flat maintenance(part of rental).
