I had purchased trendy model vacuum cleaner of Eureka Forbes from Big Bazaar on 16.08.08 ( Vacuum Cleaner Sr No 9033389). It was working for 1 month and from end Sept'08 onwards it was not working. Complaint was lodged with 24x7 customer service centre (complaint no 80615221). After lot of follow service rep visited and suspected on/off switch could be defective and had to be replaced. Since replacement was not readily available on the same day after a couple of days service rep again visited with a new switch and even after changing of switch, cleaner was not working. Service rep suspected that motor may be problem informed that cleaner to be taken to their service centre for repair and would be returned back within 4 to 5 days. This happened during 10th Oct'08.
It is almost 20 days we did not hear anything concrete from Eureka Forbes. Everytime when we contact 24x7 help line casual assurances were given. Customer service center at our locality was contacted who were also not of much help and they gave another phone no and asked us to contact them, no response from them also.
It is a matter of concern the product has developed problem within a month of purchase and was not put in much use.After sales service is not upto mark.
I understand that many of my friends/relatives are not having good opinion/feed back of Eureka products. Even Eureka Forbes service rep who visited us informed that choice of Trendy model is not a correct one as there are lot of problems. This leaves customer wondering how Eureka Forbes is continuing to use the Trendy model when there are so many lacunaes/problems.
In the meanwhile, I am keeping my fingers crossed as to when I would receive back my cleaner.
Moral of my experience for others is not to go for Eureka products as durability/quality of the product is a suspect and after sales service is horrible.
