1- MISLEADING DELIVERY GUARANTEE-
The 20/30 minute guarantee is not applicable if the amount is paid via a gift coupon.
At my location, the 20 minute guarantee is available. Upon payment via their portal, the orders have always been delivered in on time, with the delivery guarantee showing to be applicable. If any order disputes arise, e.g items not available, they try harder to not cancel the order(e.g ragi pizza to farmhouse regular) and in my case even accepted a replacement item with a higher value.
On the other hand, if the amount is paid via a gift card, the delivery guarantee gets disabled mysteriously. till the checkout page I see the 20 minute guarantee but after the order has been placed, I get to see that "the 30 minute guarantee is not applicable on this order", even though it was told that the 20 minute was applicable. i've ordered 3 times via gift card, and on all occasions, my order has been delivered late by 2, 7, 8 minutes(whilst always on time for online payment options).
2- CANCELLATIONS DUE TO UNAVAILABLE ITEMS-
If an ordered item is not available at the outlet, they will force to choose an item with a lower price tag. it can be a ragi pizza to - stuffed garlic bread(rs 208 - rs 169) or 3x crispy veggie bites to - veg parcel(rs? - rs 49).
they ONLY replace items with a price similar to the final price paid AFTER coupons, not before them.
It means if a coupon of rs 80off is applied on order of rs 300, and the item worth 300 is not available, they will call and say "Shall we replace{noncombo item1} for{item2}" which will be close to rs 220, and if the customers suggest a non-combo item worth rs 300, they deny it and say that the customer has paid only rs 220 for the item+ packaging+ GST. they will cancel the order if the customer doesn't comply.
I haven't tried it since it happened with one of my orders paid via gift card, and I don't want to know how the refund gets credited / even gets credited if an order paid via gc gets cancelled.
They do NOT provide with any compensation for cancelling the orders due to unavailable items, wasting their customer's time.
3- POOR QC -
One of the favorite dishes of mine from Dominos is their regular garlic bread but once I received a weirdly bright(extremely light in color), asymmetrical(thin on one side) garlic bread, with an uneven spread of condiments on top. It didn't taste well cooked and wasn't buttered as well. No response/compensation was provided for the issue.(photo attached)
4- Wrong promotion printout on the reciepts. The coupon code "WOWXXXX"(XXXX= probably an affiliate number), in my case "1865" provided me with a 60rs discount on non-combo items on total order value more than 249rs. but on the e-reciept I recieved, it showed as "Flat 100 off on 249", which doesn't reflect the discount I received.
5- The PHOTO vs REALITY of their classic pizzas is another topic worth addressing. The classic pizzas have thin strips of fake cheese on top of them, while the pictures depict them to be fully covered with cheese, i.e clearly misleading marketing.
They didn't taste good to me, but perhaps can be excused for their cheap price.
The only saving grace is that many of their items taste good and orders are delivered hot n fresh on time if paid via cash / their portal. Pricing is quite steep for the good items though.
