Indian actors, especially with a huge fan following, never take such risks but Kamal Hassan is a special man. He always experiments in his movies and sometimes Indian audience do not really appreciate the variety he brings to the table.

The first 15 minutes of the film showed the leaps and bounds Indian films have made in technical areas. It is not yet close to Hollywood level but they will come close soon.

The film is tightly wrapped and if one understands the Tamil/Telugu language, it is most enjoyable. No amount of sub-titles can convey the beauty of the language.

The role played by Fletcher, the terrorist, is very engaging and pleasing.

Donning 10 roles is a stupendous ask but Kamal did it with aplomb. However the tall Muslim role was probably the bad one among the lot. Some of the makeups could have been better.

Asin over acted and was over the top in some crying scenes.

The music was not bad at all, appropriate for the movie.

The tsunami scene was well captured, it could have been done a little better.

Overall a very satisfying movie except a few glitches here and there.

Kamal shines all the way through
