I went in for this service only because I didn't want to support evil Rupert Murdoch's SKY channel(Which is Tata Sky, in India). So it was a matter of ethics and principles, however, Videocon's poor service and absolutely lying staff has left me no choice but to abandon them.
The trouble is, in India, you lose the initial deposit money and almost never get it back. However, I am going to go the Consumer Court route on this.

I bought a new connection pack in the beginning of March. The set top box (STB) obviously had some problem because the channels would take nearly 20 seconds to change. After checking the remote, then factory resetting the STB I tried calling the Customer Care.
They tell you they will send someone but never do. They will promise, they will sweet talk, they will say anything to make you believe them. But beware. After they have your money, they care two hoots for the customer! Make sure you tell all your friends that these guys are **con** artists and don't deserve your support and money.
Go for some other service. Don't get **con**ned!
