NOTE: THIS APPLIES TO BIG BAZAAR NATION-WIDE.
By this time you all know that SBI FBB style up card gives 10% discount for any fashion purchases within Big Bazaar(clothes, shoes, bags, home furnishings etc.). This is a very useful card because the discount of 10% is instant.
The only problem is that the cashier has to choose an option called FBB before swiping your card. Otherwise, it will be taken as normal card and discount won't be applied.
Yesterday I went to the big bazaar(Marthahalli, Kundanahalli gate, Newly opened Big Bazaar) to purchase some clothes but the cashier didn't apply that option. So I didn't get the discount. When I went to customer desk, they redirected me to complain this to SBI helpline.
This is WRONG. The cashier didn't do his job. and credit note procedure in Big Bazaar is a big pain and so they will avoid it at the most. Refund of cash in Big Bazaar is almost impossible.
so the best option is to be Diligent.
MORAL OF THE STORY:
When you go to the Big Bazaar and use FBB style up card, INSIST the person to choose the FBB option and ensure he makes it. 10% discount, that too instant and that too in clothes is not a small amount.
