Purchased it from book store I could not put it aside, finished it in two sittings.it was beautifully written The story is about conor and monster. The monster always appears where Conor can see it at this time every night. It’s much taller than his house and more terrifying than anything anyone could have seen. But Conor isn’t afraid of it. This is nothing compared to the nightmare that he has every night. He wakes up from it screaming and sweating every time he falls asleep. The monster says that it has come walking for Conor. What could that possibly mean? Conor’s mother is sick. His father left them for his American wife and baby. Conor doesn’t have time for monsters and yet, perhaps the monster holds the key to make it all stop. Does the boy have the strength to give in?
Patrick Ness has crafted this book with incredible grace, beauty, and dignity. It shines through with every sentence. It lingers long after you've finished reading it.
