Volkswagen service plan, first free inspection at 7500 km or 6 months and first paid service at 15k km or one year.
Booking a service is real easy, just with a phone call u can book a service and a service executive will be allocated to you. Had booked service on Friday morning on 28 APR 2017. Reached showroom at 8:30 in the morning and met he executive and discussed with him and gave my car for service. I was informed that car will be ready by 3 and will receive a phone call for the same to come and pick the car up. Some things i didn't appreciate regarding their service station is they don’t let u wait and get your car serviced in front of u, u will be asked to sit in a guest lounge and see from the glass (nothing is visible from there). i asked the sales executive for the same and he responded that i will inquire regarding the same with my manager (at-least for the sake of customer satisfaction speak to your manager, just don’t assure by yourself that he will not agree). Was handed an estimate of 11.5k. i was informed that service center will open at 9:30 and my car will be second car in the Que.
Just to confirm i called the showroom at 12:30 and i was informed that car was ready. The questions that arise is that did they service the car completely in 3 hours only? If the time taken is so short, why they don’t let customers stand next to vehicles during service.
Collected my car and paid the bill, as per company rules, some parts will be change post one year of service. To my surprise the parts which were replaced were kept in the boot of the car and was informed that brake pads and discs has to be changed post more 5k kms.
While my inspection I saw the car was scratched badly at many places, roof of car from inside was dirty due to hand prints, this was discussed again with SA and he has asked me to come again next week for getting the car painted.
Volkswagen makes good cars, but they need to take more care for their service center. Again have to go to the showroom and waste one more day. The problem is Volkswagen has less service center in Bangalore, so options are limited.
Will let readers know regarding my next visit to the showroom for repainting of those scratches.
