During my recent visit to North Bengal, I had the pleasure of visiting Taki.
As I approached the town, I was struck by its tranquil and peaceful atmosphere. The sound of the river flowing and the chirping of birds made me feel like I was in a different world altogether.
The first stop of my visit was the Taki Rajbari, an ancient palace that has been converted into a heritage hotel. The architecture and the intricate designs on the walls left me in awe.
Next, I visited the Kuleshwari Kali Temple, a significant religious site for the locals.
The temple was vibrant and colourful, and the priests were welcoming and friendly. The calmness and serenity I felt inside the temple were unforgettable.
Lastly, I explored the ruins of the British-era Taki Fort.
The fort, which was built in the early 19th century, has now been transformed into a park. The greenery and the fresh air were a refreshing change from the hustle and bustle of city life. I walked around the park, taking in the beauty of the surroundings and enjoying the peaceful ambiance.
To conclusion my entire journey, my visit to Taki was a memorable experience that left me feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.
The town's rich history, natural beauty, and cultural significance make it a must-visit destination in West Bengal.
