Lack of Formal Documentation: I did not receive an offer letter even after a week of joining. Upon repeated requests, I received a poorly written, informal confirmation email with grammatical errors, no company logo, and no proper formatting.
Disorganized Structure: The organization seemed to lack structure, with most employees appearing to report directly to the director.
Role Misalignment: I was hired for an Operations Manager role, which gradually turned into an Executive Assistant role. It felt like the Operations Manager title was just a cover for EA responsibilities.
No Employment Contract: There was no formal job contract provided, creating uncertainty about the terms of employment.
Poor Management and Communication: The management displayed a lack of professionalism, a 1990s-style authoritarian culture, and frequent yelling. Communication was poor, and there was no sense of freedom in the workplace.
Salary Issues: I was offered a salary of ₹15 Lakhs but was not paid for the 10 days I worked. Despite multiple follow-ups, there was no clear communication regarding salary release.
Work Environment: There was no proper induction(just 1 hour and 40 minutes), and I was expected to start working immediately, including on Christmas and weekends. Working late into the evening was common due to an overwhelming workload.
Resignation Process: My resignation was accepted within 5 minutes without any discussion, yet I was asked to serve a notice period.
