I visited shirdi from Pune. It is almost 200 KM away and road is good. Following are my recommendations:
Go early.
It takes 1-3 hours in the queue as there are 1000 people in queue. However, they supply water and tea while people are in queue. And there are air coolers and centralized AC cooling is there in place.
People are good.
Don't purchase Prasad from outside. They charge 2-3 times. There is official Prasad selling store at gate 1.
You would need to submit phone and then claim back.
There is all time langar(free food) supply. However, the place is far. You should visit there before depositing your footwear.
To go to shirdi bus service is also available which starts from pune in night.
Shirdi is a very famous religious place. Above are just few recommendations while you are going there. if you are nearby I would recommend not to miss this.
