I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the job service provided by shine platform. I paid INR 1, 49, 600(on Oct 2024) for a job-seeking service, but I have yet to receive any positive responses through their service and from employers applied with the guidance of Shine. I didn’t get not even a single interview opportunity past 3 months. Now register service period is completed.
The following are the key issues I have encountered:
No Positive Responses or Interviews: Despite applying to numerous job listings through Shine portal, I have not received any responses or interview calls. This has not resulted in any tangible job opportunities.
Unethical Renewal Requests: I received an email from Shine team requesting payment for account renewal. It is unethical to request additional payments when no service has been provided, and the job placement commitment made to me remains unfulfilled.
Misleading Sales Commitments: During the initial registration, Shine sales team assured me that the service would guarantee an enhanced chance of receiving interview calls and improved success in interviews. However, this promise has proven false, as there has been no significant effort made to secure an interview or a job.
Unjustified Charges for Background Verification: The background verification process has not been completed, yet I have already been charged for it. Similarly, I have been charged for several other services that were never provided. This is misleading and unfair, as I have not received the service I paid for.
Unclear and Inconsistent Communication: Initially, Shine team quoted a minimal amount for the service, stating that no further payments would be required. However, I was later asked to make additional payments under the claim that my previous payments would be voided if I did not comply. These practices seem deceptive and have caused undue stress.
None of the promises made by Shine sales team have materialized. These were clearly exaggerated and untrue statements. Shine service is unable to deliver on its commitments, but such a hefty fee charged by them. Highlighting my qualifications and achievements is something that can easily be done through other job portals without any cost.
They claim that the service fee will vary depending on your experience and skillset. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS. They begin by charging a registration fee of Rs. 3197, and then continue to ask for additional payments for services like resume writing, market projection, identifying suitable job openings, and forwarding your profile to clients. For each of these services, they charge between Rs. 15, 000 to Rs. 40, 000 based on what their system shows after uploading your resume. In the end, it's all a waste of your hard-earned money and effort.
Given these circumstances, I have requested an immediate full refund of the INR 1.5 Lakhs I paid, as the services promised were not delivered. But they refused to pay.
After you pay all the fees, Shine's marketing team will call and advise you not to respond to any fake calls or give money to them. Ironically, Shine Job Portal itself is a major scam and deceitful in every way. They will deceive you at every step. Be extremely cautious and never, under any circumstances, register with them.
