Considered to be the spiciest food in the world, Sawaji style is popular among Nagpur and some towns surrounding Nagpur. I have no idea how it is prepared but I love it.


The Menu: Sawaji Mutton Sawaji Chicken Sawaji Khur [Only the part of mutton leg is served] And some joints also sell Sawaji Vegetables....


When: Sawaji Bhojanalaya is open from evening 7 to 11:30. If you are lucky, you can find some even after midnight. It all depends on the sale.


The Atmosphere: One Iron table - Usually a green one... Chairs - NeelKamal Cutlery - Steel Plates, Steel Glasses, Spoons on demand, Forks & Knifes not available.


Complimentary - 1. Plate with irregularly cut onion and Pickel (in same steel bowl)

  1. The Sawaji gravy - They keep serving the hot gravy till you finished.. Or till you are finished...

What not to do in a Sawaji : Or what they say is prohibited -

  1. No Drinks Allowed* * Condition applies. That means that if you are already high and not in a good condition.. Or, if want a fight, then YOU R THE KING.... Otherwise no Drinks Means No Drink....

  2. Non Drinkers Not allowed- If you aint drunk, the foods not for you.. You sure don’t want to burn the toilette paper the next morning.

  3. When you start eating- Don’t stop.... If you take a break, you will never finish the meal.. Very HOT....

Rates : For 2 persons - 140 Rs. Aprox... Altogether.... You just had the time of your life..... If anyone knows sawaji recipe, Please let me know on amolpagay@gmail.com. I am missing Nagpur....
