Raees is a full-on SRK fan only movie. How a villain can be picturized as a hero, can be understood with this movie.
As all know raees is based on the life of Abdul Later, a defame criminal in Gujrat who was responsible for many of the crimes initiated in Gujrat.
In Raees SRK is shown very poor in childhood and he grows up with an aim to become rich in life saying 'ammi jaan kehti thi koi bhi dhandha chota nahi hota aur dhandhe se bada koi dharm nahi hota.' but such punch lines don't leave an effect on audience.
The role of mahira khan is very much limited. There could be any bollywood actress than her in the movie. In all director has tried to take an advantage of SRK's name and that is the only reason why the movie has earned so much.
If you are a not a SRK fan you should go for other options.
