I have had a very sad experience with QFS
Not only has time with them been a colossal waste of time and money, it has also taken a toll on my child’s confidence who loved math before he got here and increasingly started tolose confidence after starting these classes- which offer no conceptual clarity.
The teacher (Jayant Malani) who was meant to teach them - as per the sales promise - suddenly disappeared from class after conducting the first three classes in June 2023, first citing a temporary health condition as excuse , there on - claiming he was being busy with placements for a month, and then finally declaring he was going to be busy for his upcoming wedding until January 2024.
This done with no intimation with either the children or the parents. Only something I gathered after multiple conversations asking when he was to resume. The substitute teacher was new and focussed on rote learning- offering little to nothing by way of conceptual clarity. Even as that might work short term forscoring in IGCSE, it most certainly does not work for IB results.
I was also surprised to see the brazen lies these people are passing in their Advanced Placement sales. They are hard selling APs with false promises of them helping with admissions for IBDP children which is not true. When I asked in a common group call why it would work better for a child to do 4 APs instead of an extra HL - they publicly said a child does not get an IB Diploma if they do 4HLs. There were 100 people on that call who heard this - Whether that is brazen lie or absolute confidence in their own deep misinformation-both seem equally unforgivable given they are counselling children who are trusting them.
The reviews on google seem forced and bought. Many of them by bots and many by staff. You’ll see among them a few which truthfully call out the arrogant and rude nature of the two main teachers here. When given any feedback they aggressively start to blame and attack the child.
Whilst we will recover from this sad experience, I am sharing this experience in the hope it will offer people the opportunity to ask more and make a wiser choice. I certainly do wish I had come across a warning that helped me discern better when I signed up.
