No.I am not talking about doing "IT" finally.I am talking about doing it;-) and what fun IT was!
Meeting MSians is always fun.and when it I am not the organiser, it becomes all the more reason to have fun.at someone's expense.in case you are still clueless on what happened, why and when:
The delhi gang of MSians met up for a cuppa of hot/cold coffee on this Sunday morning.and I better mention.early Sunday morning! The venue was Barista, South Extn and the time 1030 am.! Did I hear someone asking a reason."Since when did we ever need an excuse to have a bit of fun!"was the email sent out by the organiser, Mags( magicalsummer).that said it all:)
Delhi meets have been in news for all the wrong reasons.just like Britney Spears or apni Shilpa Shetty! Anything these ladies do become news and any meeting that we do.or even think about it.becomes headlines sooner;-) This meeting for once was not the hyped one.just one email, one sms and some amount of cajoling.resulted in 7 happy faces on a rather dull and hot Sunday morning!
The stars had descended.!
The shining young star Itika was my first happy face;-) The whole world who thought that we have been hanging out(together!)from our nursery rhyme times were proven almost correct.It never looked that we were meeting for the first time.it was constant yapping from the first glance! She is one person who I would be meeting a lot more.she lives near my house, loves food and talks.what more can I ask for! She is whole lot of fun and she brings sparks and life to dull moments.!
Mahita( magicalsummer) is my next starry face:) She was always someone who I thought would be a difficult one to meet.not because of any starry notions.but just because she looked so prim n propah! I have talked to her twice before and was already in love with her voice.and after meeting her.I still love her.all the more! She gives you this "hearty" hug which makes you feel connected.instantly;-) that is her charm and it just adds on! Pity I could not spend a lot of time together but I think we bonded.the starry warmth has just made it stronger!
Sujata(afrank) is the prettiest of all.don't even try your luck there! She was the one who made me come to the meet and thank god for it. She is intelligent, a good talker and she makes sure that she is talking to one and all;-) she is a good organiser which is evident in the fact that she could make each of us reach.on time! She is "paired" with the Akisha(Sonika) who is the one who talks the least.may be she is still coming to terms with the constant jabber that we all so much enjoy! She is the one who I would be sitting next to when we meet again.and I am sure, she would
end up talking.n talking!
Sanjoy and Anuj! Men will be men;-) these two had options.to talk less or to talk lesser.thankfully they chose the first one.they talked.but a lot more effort needs to be put in;-) Anuj is the one who is most comfortable with technology and people who think techno.since we were techno savvy( we all had mobiles, checked our emails regularly and understood what MMS means!), he could talk to us.! He is immune to worldy issues like sun signs and the power they have on us.he is happy in his wired/wireless world!
Sanjoy on the other hand had no luck.none of us remotledly were involved in any war historics and none of us had any battlefield stories.but yes, we were his admirers.his hazel colored eyes had hijacked one MS meet and it looked it would hijack this one too.thankfully.I stole some of his thunder! He took all of us rather gently which is a big proof of the gentleman he is;-)
The meet revolved from how good the last meet was, how ad hoc this one is, sun signs( Pisceans clearly were majority and so we had no choice.become one or make sure you are surrounded by one!), and when do we meet next! Shyam was given a 2 minutes of "constant mention" to make him still feel a part of Delhi and MS was mentioned somewhere too.!
To end:
- Dilli stil holds the maximum number of meets( including the ones which only reach to the planning stage!)
2.Meeting never means just eating or drinking coffees.it means taking time out to meet people who you want to.they can be people who you have heard about, talked about.or anyone who you feel comfortable meeting!
3.Trust your instincts.and I am not talking about instincts about people only.an iced tea can look desirable.but may not be drinkable.!
4.Never take long to say yes to a meet.or a no.and never stay longer after saying your good byes! Remember acting pricey does'nt take you anywhere;-) and a "good bye" means.leave now.and if you don't.you never know what can happen.this time it was additional bills that came from Barista.!
Britney or Shilpa.or Delhi meets.we always are upto something or the other;-) I did miss out on a earlier meet but finally managed to join the gang this time.I did IT finally!
