Well the basic biological structure of men and women is quite different. And therefore it is expected that the functioning of their brain must be different. Which is logically a correct idea. But being a biology student due to human evolution, the noted basic characteristics of men & women tend to change.
Therefore I don't find the book most appropriate one but however if you are going through a bad phase in your relationship and seriously want to deal with it then better go for this book. Cause there are some general points which will surely help you.
For example mentioning the basic needs of each gender, trying to handle things with sensibility and patience and lot more can genuinely help you.

Yeah another basic point men are objective, women are subjective which I honestly don't believe.
