I have my recent trip with LPO, from December 23rd to January 3rd, 2024, Northern Lights in Scandinavia. This trip was one of the worst trip in my entire travel history, not only disappointing but ranks among the worst travel experiences I have had, despite having traveled to more than 50 countries with various travel agencies.
To begin with, I was initially informed that I would be traveling with a group of 25 members. However, this changed when the groups were combined, leading to a total of 50 participants. The transportation provided was misleadingly described as "luxury." We endured over 3000 kilometers of travel in five days on a bus that had broken handles, dirty seats, and non-functional trays. We spent an average of 10-11 hours each day in this uncomfortable vehicle without any prior info about the change from the local flights we were charged for 55000/- towards internal flights. When I tried to reach them from Finland no one including MD of LPO responding or picking any one of ours calls.
Moreover, the food served throughout this trip was utterly disappointing. We were assured of Indian cuisine for dinner; instead, we received meals from low-quality Nepali establishments. On several occasions, it consisted of merely one portion of rice, one vegetable dish, and a sweet, without any variation. It's worth noting that we passed by numerous Indian restaurants which would have better catered to our expectations.
Communication from LPO was miserable, once the payments were made. Throughout the booking phase, there were constant follow-ups, but post-payment, acquiring information about tickets or hotel bookings proved very challenging. Additionally, we had paid for an Igloo Villa stay, which was canceled without any notification. The tour itineraries provided were seldom followed, resulting in visits to attractions like the Sculpture Garden in Oslo and Tivoli Park in Copenhagen during unsuitable hours.
When I requested a refund for the local flight fees(specifically the 55, 000/- charged), the response was unsatisfactory. I was informed this amount was adjusted against our bus travel, which is unacceptable given the conditions we experienced.
All these factors combined left me feeling misled and underwhelmed. I regret my decision to choose LPO Holidays for this tour, and I will certainly refrain from recommending your services to anyone in the future.
It was totally 3.60 Lakhs waste of money of me and who ever travel in future need to taken care.
