I have accumulated some Jet privilege points and wanted to redeem miles and book flights. I tried to book a flight from Chennai to Coimbatore on May 9th. When I checked with the option of redeeming points, all seats were shown as "sold out". I called the customer service who explained that the quota for redeeming miles was over for that day. But I checked till August. Not a single day was showing flights available for booking.
So on one hand they advertise to redeem miles for booking. On the other hand they block the seats in this manner so that no one can book even one seat. What a deception! Most of the Indian companies are like this. They don't have any ethics while conducting their business. There are very successful models in the west where the airlines really provide the benefits to the travelers. These Indian companies simply try to fake all that is happening in the west and then mix their fallen ideologies. They think that these tricks cannot be found out by people. Hence, I am exposing this.
