To be honest, I never expected all that much of Early Man as I sat down to see it. Now that I've spent an hour and a half of my life seeing this decrepit old fossil of a film, I've no mind to revisit it anytime in the near future. Its' gags are old as time itself ( well… in a matter of speaking) and the story is predictable almost beyond any sort of engrossment on the part of the audience. There is nothing new here, and for a company with a solid reputation as makers of some of the greatest animated comedies of all time, Aardman has presented us only with the crumbling bones of a film here. Perhaps I'm a little harsh. Once or twice I burst out with laugher at ridiculous details - but they were too few, and I regard this movie entirely as a quick money-grab - a worthwhile watch, but only once. In terms of mature content, there are a few things parents should be aware of. Early Man features a few crude scenes involving brief nudity of different kinds: Once, the protagonist slips on a bar of soap and slides into a man's shower, finishing with his head between the man's legs, looking up at him. Nothing sensitive shown here. Afterwards, the same man makes another appearance - again without his clothes - and the audience has a clear view of his backside, although his front is covered by a flag. In one scene, a man is taking a bath. Again, nothing sensitive is shown. Finally, another scene includes cave paintings which depict a large number of people mooning another group. Plenty of the movie features male top nudity. In addition to this, expect potty humour and some other crude elements ( a woman often remarks how attractive other men are, to the annoyance of her son, a bird releases droppings on a man, ect) . Language is very mild.
