If you want a combination of a quiet place away from cities, alongwith high-speed internet and almost unterrupted power supply, Dharmshala fits best. In off-season, you can get a 2 bhk accommodation with high speed internet starting at just 4, 000 per day. This is more than what one can ask for.
There are a few downsides, though. Transportation is relatively less convenient, and sharp bends make it difficult to self-drive, except if you are an expert driver. If something goes wrong, there are limited medicare facilities. The city almost shuts down at around 7 PM(except for some restaurants and shops).
