The muddy road en route warned us of what we would witness at Chilligere. Bliss of the long awaited sojourn engulfed us & momentary deafness prevailed. Upon reaching the destination the host lead us to a chamber that resembled a medieval torture room....Zero privacy, Broken wash basin & water closet, a bug-infested single bed coupled with free stink & frequent power outage is what you get for INR850/head.... With a shrug we moved on hoping for the greater good Coorg had to offer.
5 slices of bread with a small lump of Jam & few idlis came our way as breakfast. MAROONED we were!!!.... the breakfast experience was outplayed by the signature culinary delight of the host aka Fish flavored Chicken fry (Recipe: Fry chicken with the same oil used to fry fish umpteen times)....The entire episode left us with a taste of sour vinegar in our mouth.
