I used to frequent this café/lounge or whatever you call it for their salads & shakes. Smoked Chicken-Iceberg salad, Brownie Shake, Toblerone shake & Choco Late are a few favorites. The menu is also priced right & that's where the happiness ends for me .The dudes & dudettes who wait your table are your guiding angels & you better shut-up, eat, pay & get out.coz they just fed you in-spite of their busy schedule "gossiping!".They know your order & you will be served at their convenience.Don't you dare argue coz "The King" is long dead at Boca Grande.
I first posted this review but somehow the owner managed to get it purged with the following reason
"The review has been unpublished as its content violates terms of use."
In spite of that I visited Boca twice. The first time I chose the first floor & during the recent visit used the couch by the salad counter. On the first occasion the gentleman waiting tables was not interested in taking our order.I personally went down to the counter to help myself.once we were done with the first round I wanted to have one last dessert & I asked the gentleman to help me understand what "Choco Late" is all about. He slowly replied."it is a chocolate dessert".ROTFL! I wanted to jump into a glass of water & commit suicide.anyway I collected myself & went ahead with the order.
Choco Late reached the table after several reminders & follow-ups.to be honest it was nice.
The couch encounter was gruesome.Nobody would take our orders.nor would they turn on the air-condition even after multiple requests. After several EXCUSE MEs & HELLOs orders were taken.2 brownie shakes & 2 choco mambo arrived after 35 mins. The brownie shake was excellent & helped us wash down the average choco mambo.Oozie Goozie was next on the TO EAT list.having eaten at Boca numerous times I know their menu by heart.I know what OG is & the preparation time.Sadly our indulgence was delayed by another 65 mins.reminding the waiters went futile coz they have a standard answer "Saar!, you only placed this order a few minutes ago".I should have settled the bill & found the door right away, but I did not. Being a people manager in a customer facing industry, patience & tolerance form a vital part of my approach. I ordered more.a "Dark Devil". It tasted cheap & another 20 mins wait made my barometer scale new heights.
On both occasions the bill touched the 700-800 mark & the service on the other hand reached Davy Jones. Well, A customer facing business should be matured enough to handle criticism/feedback.Deleting someone's view on a paid experience is an insult. I believe in providing constructive feedbacks & feel very happy when businesses thrive. Boca Grande has sworn to fall flat in spite of me giving them multiple opportunities to serve me better.
If you don’t take care of your customers, someone else will
