I applied for new health insurance policy application: 41000946 through Policybazaar for new policy of Bharati AXA.


I discussed with Bharati AXA about 2 accidents I had suffered in last 4 years and my wife had suffered with Dengue and Ovarian Chocolate Cyst in last 4 years. Based on this, Bharati AXA just refused to give policy saying they dont give policy if person has suffered hospitalization - I am not sure but this denial should be against law as it is no pre-existing disease - accident and dengue can happen anyday anytime and they should not rule out giving policy to customer based on that. This is discrimination by Bharati AXA. I have already checked with other insurance agencies and they are ready to give policies just with some existing conditions.


Now, I was told that I will get refund of my premium which will take 7-8 working days. After that time, I have got call from Bharati AXA that there is delay in refund(due to their own reasons) and there is no guarantee when they can give refund. It may take months or years - they wont give me any date or any commitment and I should not ask them when they will give refund. They just humiliated on call and said that they do not have any fear of law or IRDA and I can do "Whatever I want" and then shut down call. This is humiliation after delay in refund. When I sent their complaint to IRDA, one lady called Shailja (080 43608900) called once again and gave threats that why I called to IRDA. They can not touch Bharati at all and now, they will give refund at their own will. The way she was humiliating and giving threats - she would have been slapped if she would not be on phone.


I remember I had similar treatment from Bharati group - Airtel before 10 years when I was dissatisfied with their customer service and their representative just told: "Go to hell. Whole India needs Bharati and so, you come to us. We dont need customers - you go and you will have to come back to us. We are kings". After that, I had decided not to take Airtel connection in my life even if they become single provider in country.


I hope Sunil Mittal is listening how rudely their customer service representatives are humiliating customers - the main reason why Bharati is losing business in all areas - there will be no surprise if they will have to close business in few years.
