Last week I had visited lucknow for my brother wedding. So we planned lucknow tour too.
Bara Imambara is located in the centre of the city & a lucknow visit is incomplete without this place. This is made by Shia Imams & is quite big as name says' Bara'.
Built in the Nawab era, it has sprawling structure. The bhool bhulaiyai is an unique attraction inside the place & you will get lost untill u have a guide with you. Each entry has some right & some wrong way, totally confusing, so better to take a guide & enjoy the bhool bhulaiya with knowldge of its history.
At night, the outside structure & the area looks beautiful with lights. Being in this area, will reflect the Nawab time as Roomi gate & Chota Imambara is also on its way.
Despite being big & most visited place, it lacks basic cleanliness & not well maintained. Apart on our end, We tourist should travel responsibly & keep the heritage clean.
Timings- 7am - 7pm.
Accessibility- Easily through an auto rickshaw or cab
