I have been given the Bajaj Finance EMI card 2 years back. I have used it to buy some consumer goods thrice worth a lakh in total, and have never defaulted.
On 2012 July, I purchased a product worth 78, 000 Rs, with a down payment of 40 K and have never defaulted EMIs.
But thanklessly, this company cheated me and slapped me with an EMI default for 2 months(for some technical issues with Bajaj Finance's EMI presentation with my bank).
For no fault of me. for the first b2 months of EMI, there was no EMI ECS presentation to my bank(my account was having sufficient funds), and they didn't even notice this (Good example of IT enabling a business)!
After 2 months, they started calling me telling that their ECS for 2 months were bounced, and told me to pay the EMIs including the penalty(450 X 2= 900 for penalty for 2 months!).
You can cheat a customer a time or twice, but not life long. These guys have spoiled my credit history rating @ CIBIL even when there was no loan payment defaults from me.
Go with any other bullies for a finance, but never Bajaj.
