I have known Amazon even before online markets started in India. I recently placed my first order on Amazon. A book. They shipped the same on 05/01/2014 via Gati cargo Tracking No. 524381345 the order took 5 days to travel from Mumbai to Gwalior. Amazing where players in market ship next day and deliver next day amazon shippers need 4-5 days. Further they cannot deliver the same and when complained called me with intentions to pick up the same from their office.
Amazingly these people do not seem to realize to check their potentials first before taking orders and the third rated couriers they use for shipping goods. this way you will simply leave an impression of being a fraudulent online store with no reliability.
It is better to stay away from the themselves dubbed as most customer centric company where they have no value for customer except to use their money for some days before returning it. This too is a good business perhaps better than fulfilling orders. This seems to be Amazon's motto in India.
